An electrical warning, a discharged low-voltage battery and a stored converter code may be related, but the enquiry should record them as separate findings. This makes it easier to see what has actually been tested when the vehicle reaches a specialist.
The code names a status circuit
Snap-on identifies P0A09 as a low indication on the DC/DC status circuit. Read the reference. The vehicle-specific description is needed before interpreting any measurement or identifying the relevant connection.
Label every voltage reading
For garages, say where the reading was taken and whether the vehicle was off, awake, in READY or charging. Include the measurement time and whether the warning was active. Avoid sending a photograph of a meter with no explanation of the connection or operating state.
Owners can add the sequence: when the warning appeared, whether the car still entered READY and any recent low-voltage battery work. Keep the complete scan rather than only the converter entry.
Preserve the original assembly
Do not assume that a low-voltage symptom makes the converter safe to open. Its connections and handling requirements must be assessed using the correct vehicle procedure. Direct powering of unidentified terminals is not an appropriate owner test.
