HELLA describes Astra J vehicles from model years 2010–2012 displaying a charging warning with B1517 (03), despite correct battery and alternator voltages. Before arranging a module assessment
This example does not make B1517 a software diagnosis on every Astra. A useful workshop report explains how the battery and charging system were assessed, when the warning appeared and what code returned. An isolated screenshot of voltage does not provide the same history.
What to include in your enquiry
Include whether the light appears at start-up or during driving, the age and specification of any replacement battery, and any charging-system repairs. Keep both the code and its suffix: B1517 (03).
