Water in a storage well can be relevant to nearby electrical equipment, but component locations vary. Record the water and symptoms without assuming that every boot-mounted module is damaged.
Preserve the exposure history
State when water was first noticed, recent rain or washing and any rear-body work. Photograph accessible areas safely. Do not power visibly wet equipment to determine which functions still work.
The workshop should address the entry path and assess affected circuits together. Drying the visible area does not establish that connectors are restored. Ask which modules and harness sections actually require inspection before authorising removal, and keep the original scan and parts with the repair record.
