An active wheel sensor may provide more information than a single speed value. A plausible dashboard or scan-tool speed does not necessarily confirm every signal feature used by the chassis system.

What to check next

Read the complete ABS fault description and identify the supported data for that vehicle. Compare corner-specific information during the reported manoeuvre, particularly after hub, bearing or sensor replacement. Wiring and encoder orientation should be considered using the relevant fitting instructions.

Useful information for an enquiry

Provide the full fault record, parts fitted and whether the warning appears moving forward, reversing or turning.

Not every wheel sensor reports direction. Do not apply the expectations of a different sensor generation to the vehicle under test.
