A reading that changes when wiring is disturbed can help localise an investigation, but it needs careful recording. Identify the sensor, displayed value and exact circumstances already observed. Do not repeatedly pull or bend a damaged harness to create a more dramatic result.
Describe the measurement properly
The garage should retain the data label, units and operating condition. A graph or recorded trace may show the relationship more clearly than a single screenshot. The affected harness area and any previous repair should be identified without assuming the break is at the nearest visible connector.
Confirm the fault before repairing wiring
The technician needs to assess connectors, terminals, routing and the circuit using the correct information. Replacing a sensor because its reading changes skips the question of why it changes. A temporary improvement after disturbance is not proof that the repair is complete.
