An on-board charger’s PFC stage and DC/DC stage do different jobs

An on-board charger can contain separate power-conversion stages. The stage handling incoming AC is not the same as the stage regulating energy towards the battery.

What to check next

A specialist assessment should identify where the charging sequence or conversion stops using the relevant diagnostic information. The vehicle fault record, supply conditions and internal protection messages need to agree before a component-level repair is proposed.

Useful information for an enquiry

Provide the exact charger module reference, charging mode and complete fault report.

Internal charger work involves hazardous voltage and stored energy. The architecture described here is background information, not a dismantling or live-test guide.
