A window responding to the driver’s master switch but not its local switch, or the reverse, gives the workshop a useful comparison. Identify the exact window and check whether a normal child-lock or window-lock setting explains the behaviour.
Describe each control separately
Record whether the window moves up and down from each switch, whether one-touch operation works and whether the switch illumination has changed. Do not repeatedly operate a window that binds or moves unpredictably. Keep fingers and objects clear of the opening.
Preserve the repair history
Include recent door trim removal, regulator replacement, liquid spills or battery disconnection. A lost convenience function after repair may require a vehicle-specific procedure, but it should not be assumed that every switch complaint needs relearning. The circuit and mechanical behaviour still matter.
