A reduced-power message near the lower end of the charge display needs its context preserved. Battery charge, temperature and system faults can all influence available performance, but the warning wording and model-specific guidance determine the appropriate response.
Keep the sequence
Record the charge level at the first warning, whether the vehicle had been parked cold, and whether the limitation remained after a normal permitted charge. Do not deliberately run the battery lower to reproduce the event. A photograph taken safely while stationary is more useful than an approximate recollection of the message.
An assessment should distinguish the vehicle’s documented operating limits from an unexpected restriction. Include any recent range change, charging problem or battery repair. If the vehicle is unable to maintain safe progress, stop in a safe place and arrange help. A power-limit symbol by itself is insufficient evidence to identify an inverter, motor or battery fault.
