A car that works after a journey but reports a fault after several days parked needs a timeline covering its inactive period. The traction-battery percentage alone does not describe the health or behaviour of all the vehicle’s electrical supplies.
Record what happened while parked
Include how long the car stood, whether it was plugged in, any remote-app activity and accessories left connected. Note whether doors unlocked normally and whether the dashboard reset or flickered before the warning. Keep the first scan if a garage has obtained one.
Repeatedly waking the car to check it can change the conditions being investigated. Follow storage guidance for the specific model rather than disconnecting batteries or removing fuses experimentally. A workshop may need an agreed observation period to reproduce the complaint. State whether the problem occurs only at one parking location, after every extended park, or only during colder weather.
