A repeated needle movement during starting should be compared with the vehicle’s normal startup display. If it accompanies screen resets, clicking or failure to start, preserve those observations together.
Record the sequence
State whether the engine cranks, whether the clock resets and whether the behaviour occurs only after parking. Include battery and starter work. A video obtained safely while stationary can show timing better than a list of symptoms recalled later.
Do not conclude that the cluster motor or software failed solely from the needle movement. The workshop should evaluate the electrical conditions and relevant faults during the event. If a supply issue is established, the post-repair check should confirm stable startup rather than merely clear stored dashboard communication records.
