A flashing odometer or configuration warning after module work needs the manufacturer’s interpretation for that vehicle. Similar visual symptoms do not have identical meanings across brands.
Preserve the replacement record
Keep the original and replacement part identities, scan reports and programming log. Ask the installer which supported configuration steps were completed. Do not modify mileage data to suppress a display warning.
An authorised specialist should establish whether the issue concerns configuration, compatibility or another fault. Retain the original unit until resolved. Explain whether the vehicle otherwise operates normally and whether any additional functions are missing. The goal is correct system setup with accurate records, not hiding the indication through unrelated memory edits.
