If the gearbox warning appears with P0902, record whether the car can select a gear and whether the fault is constant. The word “low” needs its circuit context; it should not become a general assumption that the vehicle simply needs a battery or TCU.
Identify the monitored circuit
Autel places P0902 in low-level monitoring of the clutch-actuator circuit. Read the generic reference, printed page 57. Use the exact transmission information to identify the relevant actuator and control arrangement.
Details that improve a repair enquiry
- Transmission model and complete fault text, including suffixes.
- Whether the fault followed a flat battery, jump start or repair.
- Actuator, clutch and controller replacement history.
- Any completed supply and wiring tests, with measured results.
Ask the garage to distinguish a battery-terminal measurement from a measurement at the relevant component during the fault. Do not treat those as identical pieces of evidence. If a test was completed while the vehicle was behaving normally, say so.
Avoid adding a second problem
Do not apply power directly to an unidentified actuator or attempt to move it using improvised wiring. The correct procedure depends on the assembly. Keep the original controller and its identification if replacement is being considered.
