A transmission temperature value that appears unrealistic before use needs the tool interpretation and sensing circuit checked. It is not automatically the actual fluid temperature.
Record rest conditions
Keep parking duration, ambient temperature, units and exact parameter name. Include fault codes and previous sensor or controller work. A technician should use the correct plausibility criteria for that gearbox.
Do not perform adaptation or fluid-level procedures using an unexplained value if they depend on accurate temperature. The workshop should establish whether the reading is measured, substituted or unsupported before proceeding. A component recommendation needs evidence beyond the fact that the displayed number looks unusually high or low.
