Replacing an exposed module may restore a function without resolving why water reached it. The leak and electronics repair must be coordinated to avoid repeating the same failure.
Assign both parts of the job
Ask which provider will locate and repair the entry path and which will assess the electrical damage. Keep the before-and-after photographs, scan and installation records. Do not assume that resealing the module housing fixes a leak elsewhere in the body.
Before returning the vehicle to use, the workshop should verify the relevant repair under an appropriate procedure. If a removed unit is assessed separately, make sure the specialist knows what happened to the surrounding connectors and harness. Clear responsibilities reduce gaps between body and electronics work.
